The Corinth City Council authorized a consulting contract with Pape Dawson Consulting Engineers LLC, approving an amount not to exceed $100,000 for the remainder of fiscal year 2025–26 with two renewal terms that would not exceed $250,000 annually.
City staff explained the additional engineering capacity is tied to developer activity and noted that much of the invoicing is expected to be reimbursed by developers. Staff said the $100,000 figure covers the remainder of the year and that the city’s total engineering contract capacity would rise with renewals. A council member moved to approve the contract and to authorize the city manager to execute the necessary documents; the motion was seconded and the council voted unanimously.
Staff said the contract will allow the city to keep up with planning and development activity and provided no substantial changes to service levels were expected beyond improved capacity for plan review and developer-funded invoicing.
