If awarded, the program manager said the budget would move from $1.7 million to a planned $1.5 million; the district would continue core services but narrow summer‑camp operations in favor of school‑year and after‑school enrichment.
Seidenberger reviewed TEA monitoring metrics and said the ACE dashboard shows strong performance: the program reported serving 811 students (above the 750 target), student attendance measures at ~108% of the program target metric, and family engagement measured ~226% of the expected rate. The program also highlighted partnerships (library field trips, ROTC visits, CTE exposure), a ballet folklorico showcase with 85 voluntary participants and plans to sustain community connections regardless of grant outcome.
Trustees praised staff for data tracking and program growth and asked about the implications of a possible downscaling of summer camp; staff said they would reallocate enrichment experiences into after‑school programming where possible. The district will continue to monitor TEA benchmarks and report back on the July grant notification.
