“ My name is Justin Lold… I am the head softball coach here at Tri City United,” he said, outlining a lodging option (a large rental house near the complex that sleeps about 30), proposed on-site practice and scrimmage time, sample daily schedules and fundraising plans. He said boosters had agreed to cover the rental and ground transport (three vans) and that the coach was seeking to keep student costs low; he estimated the camp fee at about $250 per player and round-trip airfare roughly $375–$450.
Board members thanked him for the presentation but asked for a more structured daily schedule and a clearer cost breakdown before granting final approval. One trustee noted that similar trips have run through hotels in the past but said the large rental house could reduce monitoring risks if properly chaperoned. The board did not vote on the trip that night; the coach was asked to return with additional details so the request can be placed on the January agenda for a formal decision.
