The Parks & Recreation Committee voted April 27 to recommend changes to user agreements with park user groups that adjust scheduling deadlines.
Staff explained two edits: changing the deadline for submitting season schedules from March 1 to May 1 to reflect actual registration and scheduling timelines, while retaining a March 1 requirement for certificates of insurance. The committee emphasized continued coordination among user groups to avoid scheduling conflicts and said tournament dates will still require earlier planning.
Committee member Tedro moved to recommend the changes; Esker seconded. The committee voted in favor; the motion passed and staff will report the committee recommendation to the board.
The recommendation will be transmitted to the full board for final approval; committee members said they do not plan to bring the item back to the board unless further changes are requested.
