The board approved multiple new 1.0 FTE positions: a special education teacher for TCU Lawndale, a special education teacher for TCU High School, a districtwide school psychologist and a districtwide speech‑language pathologist. Motions to add these positions were moved and seconded and passed on roll call.
Other business approved: the board accepted a district‑paid supplemental insurance program called "healthiest you." The finance committee reported continued work on the revised budget for next year; staff also provided a health insurance renewal projection that referenced blended claims data and a projected 5% renewal position (with an alternative projection of 14.3% for some formulas).
Following new business the board entered closed session at 6:03 p.m. for a superintendent evaluation. No further public actions were recorded before the meeting was recessed.
