The City of Central planning commission approved a preliminary plat to combine six tracts into five at 17585, a 57.262-acre property in the rural agricultural district.
Applicant Jonathan Nome told the panel the proposal does not alter drainage or layout beyond reshaping the parent tracts to allow home construction: "I'm the applicant...just strictly subdividing reshaping the property to where we would be able to build houses," he said. Neighbors asked whether sewer service would be available; staff said public sewer is within 500 feet and that, as proposed, future occupancy would require tying into that sewer or requesting a waiver.
Commissioners asked follow-up questions about traffic and whether the reconfiguration was intended to support a borrow pit (staff and the applicant said it was not). After public comment and discussion, the commission moved and approved the preliminary plat.
Staff will document required conditions tied to public sewer availability and any needed waivers before the filing of a final map.
