The Coconut Creek City Commission voted unanimously March 12 to approve three separate resolutions supporting the city’s requests for federal community project funding for public-safety and utility projects.
Resolution 2026-036, which supports funding for an emergency operations center (EOC) and community staging area, passed on a 5–0 roll-call vote after a motion and second. The commission also approved Resolution 2026-039 (EOC HVAC and technology systems) and Resolution 2026-041 (advanced metering infrastructure, or AMI) by the same unanimous margin.
City staff told the commission the three applications were prepared together and are to be submitted through the city’s congressional office. A staff member said the applications were completed earlier in the week and will be delivered to the congressman’s office next week.
