Board elects Mr. Andre as president; slate of officers approved
Summary
Following nominations and voice votes, Mr. Andre was nominated and accepted the school board presidency. The board also filled the vice president, treasurer, clerk and deputy clerk positions by voice vote.
At the April 27 meeting the board conducted its annual officer elections following the recent school election. The current president said she would not accept a nomination for a second term as president and nominated Mr. Andre for the office. After a motion to close nominations the board conducted a voice vote; Mr. Andre accepted the nomination and assumed the chair for the remainder of the meeting.
The board followed the same process for vice president, treasurer, clerk and deputy clerk. Members nominated "Ed" for vice president and Kathy for treasurer; Heather accepted nomination for clerk/secretary and Kyle was nominated as deputy clerk. All nominations were approved by voice vote.
Mr. Andre commented he was "humbled" to accept and thanked colleagues for the support. The newly elected officers will carry out the duties associated with their offices for the coming year.
