Counselor outlines E4E plan, dual-credit gains and testing results at Dodgeland board meeting

Stephanie Boss, the district's middle- and high‑school counselor, briefed trustees on academic and career-planning work, testing trends and dual-credit offerings at the April 27 meeting.
Boss said the district will continue to use the Zello academic-and-career-planning platform under contract through 2031 and described E4E (Education for Employment) materials that must be posted on the district website by April 30. She reported dual-credit participation growth: two credentialed teachers taught dual‑credit courses last year, 148 students earned dual credits totaling about 345 credits and the district estimates gross savings around $52,000 by delivering those courses locally.
On assessments, Boss said the district's junior class ACT composite averaged 16.8 for the reporting year and that 11 students took the PSAT (average 1027). She noted AP exam participation has risen and that about 39% of AP exam takers score 3 or higher, which earns potential college credit. Boss outlined career-pathway work, work-based experiences, partnerships (CISA 6, Inspire Wisconsin, Lakeshore/Moraine Park/Marine Park partnerships), and plans for resume workshops and mock interviews.
Trustees asked for more granular AP test counts and pass rates; Boss clarified that the AP metrics show percent of test-takers who score 3 or higher (not percent of all juniors). She said the district would post its E4E plan on the web by the state deadline and continue expanding dual‑credit and apprenticeship opportunities.
The presentation closed with a summary of scholarships received by the Dollars for Scholars foundation and other community donors.
