Northern Burlington board finds two students nonresidents, sets exclusion date for Dec. 18

The Northern Burlington County Regional Board of Education voted Nov. 17 to affirm findings of nonresidency for two students and directed the superintendent to exclude them from enrollment no later than Dec. 18, 2025.

The decision followed a residency hearing held in executive session earlier in the meeting. The motion on nonresidency initially set an exclusion date of Dec. 2, 2025; board members later approved an amendment moving that date to Dec. 18, 2025.

Chair [name withheld in transcript] read a resolution summarizing the board’s finding that, “based upon the evidence and testimony presented during the hearing,” the two students were not bona fide residents of the Northern Burlington County Regional School District for the purposes of receiving free public education. The board directed the superintendent to formally exclude students 2027416 and 2026482 from enrollment by the amended date.

Board members conducted a roll-call vote on the resolution after returning from executive session; the motion passed.
