Committee approves easement to complete sidewalk in front of Stevenson Elementary
Summary

The committee recommended approval of Ordinance 202611 on May 11 to accept a 0.046-acre easement so the city can create a continuous sidewalk in front of Stevenson Elementary.
A committee member said the issue arose when staff discovered a small parcel of sidewalk in front of the school had not been deeded properly. Director Kuzan confirmed the district will convey an easement to the city for construction use and that the administration had sent easement documents to the school superintendent and treasurer and was waiting for a response.
Chris Smith moved recommending approval to council; Director Kuzan seconded the motion. The committee voted by voice in favor. The ordinance was described as an emergency measure by staff and will be forwarded to council for final action.
The committee adjourned at 6:53 p.m.
