Washburn board elects officers, designates schedule and outlines vacancy process

Candidates who apply will be invited to the May 14 meeting to present qualifications; the board will take a vote to appoint a candidate to serve a one-year term through April 2027. Board policy 0412 was cited to note that the board president serves as tiebreaker in case of a tie vote on an appointment.
