Trustees also approved renewal of Canvas, the district's learning management system, at a cost of $34,470. The staff presenter noted teachers have developed coursework in Canvas and that colleges commonly use the platform. John moved the Canvas renewal and Jackie seconded; the motion passed 5–0.
On health services for student athletes, the board authorized a professional services agreement with Union Health Sports Medicine to provide athletic training services at Sullivan High School for 2026–27 for $17,000. The presenter said the contract delivers more services than the district's current agreement and requested authorization to give notice to the prior provider, Sullivan County Community Hospital, effective July 1. Jerry moved the contract approval and John seconded; the board voted 5–0 to approve.
Separately, trustees authorized executing an engagement letter with Baker Tilly Municipal Advisors LLC to explore 2026 general obligation bond options as some bonds come off the district's books; the board recorded the authorization (board vote 5–0, John recorded as second). The staff presenter said the district will consider whether adding bonds is appropriate to fund upcoming projects.
