The Oneida County Land Records Committee elected Robert Briggs as chair and Chris Schultz as vice-chair during its May 5 meeting in Rhinelander.
Chairman Robert Briggs called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and noted that the meeting notice was properly posted and the location was handicap accessible. On a motion by Kyle Timmons, seconded by Lenore Lopez, the committee approved the meeting agenda. The committee then approved minutes from its April 14 meeting on a motion by Timmons, seconded by Briggs; votes were recorded as "All ayes."
Lenore Lopez was introduced as a new committee member before nominations were made. Briggs was nominated and confirmed as chair (Motion/Lopez/Timmons), and Chris Schultz was nominated and confirmed as vice-chair (Motion/Timmons/Briggs); both elections were passed unanimously, the record shows.
Staff presented the Register of Deeds and Land Information monthly Invoice Paid and Budget-to-Actual reports. Sara Chiamulera, Land Information Office staff, told the committee that moving the monthly meeting up one week to the first Tuesday occasionally prevents reports from being available at the initial agenda distribution; the committee requested that the office distribute PDF copies of reports as they become available.
The committee set its next meeting for June 2, 2026, and adjourned at 10:23 a.m.
