Commissioners agree to transfer county parcel and assist trustee to acquire adjacent lots for shelter storage

County staff explained the process: assign the county‑owned parcel to the redevelopment commission (MRC), secure title on the privately owned parcel and then transfer it to the MRC for assignment to the trustee. Commissioners expressed support for the shelter's work; a commissioner moved to proceed with the transfers and the motion passed unanimously on roll call.
What happens next: staff will work with the auditor's office, the MRC and county legal counsel to prepare deeds and any required filings to transfer the county parcel and to pursue a certificate or title change for the privately owned lot before assignment to the trustee.
