Among consent items the council approved was Resolution No. 11557-26 awarding the 2026 Wirth Park Playground Restroom Building Project #PK251 to Elite Builds Inc. for $803,282.65. The approval was part of a single motion by Alderperson Gary Mahkorn, seconded by Alderperson Chuck Bloom III, to accept all items on the consent agenda.
The council also approved a resolution commending Christine Vergata on her retirement from the Municipal Court (Resolution No. 11556-26) and confirmed committee appointments requiring council confirmation (Resolution No. 11558-26). By motion, the council approved appointing Council President Gary Mahkorn as chairman of the Legislative & Licensing Committee (Resolution No. 11559-26).
Separately, the council scheduled a special Common Council meeting for June 9, 2026; that motion carried 13-0 (recorded as Resolution No. 11560-26). Council actions to approve vouchers exceeding $50,000 and other administrative items were also approved by vote.

The agenda language referenced Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(g); the motion to enter closed session cited Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(e) and carried on a roll-call vote 13-0. The council later reconvened in open session under Wis. Stat. 19.85(2).
