The council voted to hold the application for revisions and asked staff to add master sign plans to application checklists going forward so future submissions are processed with the approved context on file.
Next steps: the applicant will resubmit with a clear description of each sign's purpose and, if necessary, propose either a projecting sign or a small quarterboard for the café door. Staff will place the revised application on a forthcoming agenda.
