Megan, chief assistant to the city administrator, said the priorities come from a February retreat and subsequent staff work to turn council direction into initiatives. "The goal [for affordable housing] is to create a sustainable, inclusive and multifaceted housing ecosystem that meets people where they are," Megan said while outlining initiatives such as becoming a regional housing leader, revitalizing vacant lots and programming Heritage funds to address housing and homelessness.
