City Attorney comments and the resolution state the city assumes no ongoing liability and does not endorse the company. Parks and recreation staff said the slides will be distributed to program participants.
"This is an opportunity to help our athletes with recovery and hydration during tournaments," a parks presenter said, describing how the slides will support players at summer competitions.
Robles, who was introduced to the council as an entrepreneur in Georgia, responded through staff remarks that the company focuses on athlete recovery and had offered the slides at no cost.
The council recorded the vote and directed the parks department to manage distribution to the athletes. No financial exchange was involved and the resolution includes language limiting city endorsement and waiving city liability for product failures.
The acceptance came as part of the evening’s Parks & Recreation presentation; council members thanked the donor and noted the visibility the youth team has brought to the city.
