Aaron Ruhland, executive director of learning and accountability, said the draft aligns with the district's acceptable use policy and statewide AI best-practice work and will be advanced for second reading and possible approval at the June meeting.
On the calendar, administrators proposed a traditional format with two weeks for winter break and a start after Labor Day. Staff said the Orono Education Association voted in favor of the calendar; the board scheduled a second reading for June.
