Elk County approves multiple merit increases, abatements and $383,504.40 in warrants

The Elk County Board of Commissioners approved several personnel merit increases and routine financial actions at the March 9 meeting following two short executive sessions on non-elected personnel.
After an executive session beginning at 1:37 p.m. that included Public Works Supervisor Don Sanders and County Counselor Paul Dean, the board returned at 1:42 p.m. and approved merit increases for Danny Williams (from $19.43/hr to $20.18/hr), Rebecca Maltbie (from $17.37/hr to $18.12/hr), Dave Nungesser (from $20.36/hr to $21.36/hr) and Brandon Rogers (from $20.31/hr to $21.31/hr). At 1:49 p.m. the board recessed again for a non-elected personnel review with County Health Nurse Kandy Dowell and Paul Dean present; the board returned at 1:55 p.m. and approved a merit increase for Traci Swanwick (from $14.65/hr to $15.40/hr). All personnel motions carried 3-0.
The board also approved abatements PP26-031, RE26-029, RE26-032 and TK26-030 (motion carried 3-0) and approved warrants in the amount of $383,504.40 and payroll totaling $297,697.75; both motions carried 3-0. The minutes record the actions and vote tallies but do not include individual roll-call votes or the underlying performance reviews conducted in executive session.
