The consent calendar also recorded multiple staff retirements effective June 12 and June 15, several staffing assignments and approvals for student field trips, including the OHS Robotics team’s trip to Houston (April 28–May 3) and a Formula 1 Club trip to Road America (May 3–5). Donations accepted included multiple $500 gifts and a $199.50 contribution for field trip transportation.
In a notable divided vote, the board approved contracting with EduStaff for guest teachers and guest support staff for 2026–27. The motion, moved by Ms. Heather Garrison and seconded by Dr. Caleb Bush, passed on a roll-call vote: yes — Garrison, Dr. Bush, Matt Ledbetter, Nathan Hensal and Troy Pankratz; no — Dr. Mary Lokuta and Leslie Wright. The motion carried 5–2.
President Pankratz appointed Matt Ledbetter as the CESA #2 representative and reappointed Dr. Caleb Bush as the WASB delegate. Committee assignments for the Vision and Policy Committees were announced, and Leslie Wright was named the Board representative to the OSD Wellness Committee.
Before adjourning, the board voted unanimously to move into closed session under Wisconsin statutes §19.85(1)(c) and §118.22 to discuss potential non‑renewal of certified staff contracts; the board entered closed session at 9:09 PM. The meeting then adjourned at 9:57 PM.
