Yamhill County commissioners approve road contract, health agreements and committee appointments

The Yamhill County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 19 approved several routine items including a construction contract, health-agency agreements and committee reappointments.
The board voted to award the 2026 North Valley Road Full Depth Repair and culvert replacement project to Roy Houcks Construction LLC with an intent-to-award amount of $217,514.50. Commissioner Kit Johnston moved approval; the motion passed with Commissioners Johnston, Mary Starrett and David “Bubba” King voting aye.
On health-related business, the board approved an amendment to the agreement between Yamhill County Health and Human Services and Locum Tenens (B.O. #15-269), effective April 2, 2026 (Oracle #HHS25019GS). The board also approved Intergovernmental Agreement #057247 between Yamhill County Health and Human Services and the Oregon Health Authority for PSRB Tort Liability Coverage, effective Jan. 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 (Oracle #HHS26006IGA).
On the consent agenda the board approved BO 26-035, authorizing Leave Without Pay for employee #5482 retroactive to Feb. 2, 2026 with an anticipated end date of Feb. 27, 2026, and BO 26-036, reappointing Elsa Pantoja and Monica Saunders to the Employee Safety Advisory Committee for two-year terms ending March 18, 2028.
Commissioners also made routine announcements about advisory committee vacancies, accessibility accommodations, and where to find meeting agendas and information online. The meeting adjourned at 12:03 p.m.
