The Parks and Recreation Board voted to accept the draft 2026–2030 Park and Open Space Plan and recommended it be presented to the common council and village board for final approval.
Staff thanked Monica for reformatting the document and said the plan serves both as a five-year guidance document and as a support for grant applications. Board members praised the readability and completeness of the draft while asking a few clarifying questions about parking counts at specific parks and the final paragraph's wording.
A motion to accept the plan, with a couple of minor edits noted in the meeting, was moved, seconded and carried by voice vote. Staff will forward the draft to the council and village board and publish the plan following formal approvals.
