The Pewaukee Plan Commission approved a temporary-use application from the Lake Pewaukee Sanitary District permitting a temporary trailer on the district’s property at N25 W27675 Prospect Avenue while a station is rebuilt.
The district representative and head (Speaker 8) told the commission a narrative was circulated in advance and that the trailer would be signed prominently as the “temporary office of Lake Pewaukee Sanitary District” with contact information so residents understand the office is temporary. The district head said the expected construction timeline is roughly 2.5 years and that the district would vacate the trailer as soon as construction is complete.
Commissioners suggested signage with contact information to reduce calls from residents driving by; the district head agreed to include phone and email contacts on the sign. The commission approved the temporary use at the plan-commission level with a voice vote and noted the permit has a time-limited duration tied to the construction schedule.
Next steps: the district will post signage with contact information and proceed with the temporary trailer permitting and coordination required by city staff.
