Clarke County supervisors set May 18 hearing on wastewater ordinance, name auditor budget director and approve claims

Res. 26-065, moved by Brian Sorensen and seconded by Dean Robins, scheduled a public hearing on the Wastewater Treatment and Disposal System Ordinance for 9:00 a.m. on May 18, 2026; the motion carried unanimously.
The board adopted Res. 26-070 after listing the Budget Director’s duties — including preparing the county budget, coordinating department submissions, filing approved budgets and amendments on the State of Iowa website, and assisting with grant compliance. The board designated Auditor Jessica Graves as Budget Director for FY2026–27 and allocated a $4,500 stipend from the Board of Supervisors’ budget to compensate the role. The resolution was moved by Randy Dunbar and seconded by Brian Sorensen and passed by unanimous vote.
Res. 26-064 approved quarterly reports of the Clerk of Court, Recorder and Sheriff for the quarter ending March 31, 2026. Res. 26-071 approved payment of claims submitted April 21–27, 2026 and the minutes list fund totals for the General Basic Fund, Mental Health Subfund, Rural Services Basic Fund, Debt Service Fund, Emergency Management Fund and Assessor. All votes on these items were unanimous.
