Committee hears Clearview repair covered by contractor insurance, tornado damage and jail operations updates

Tornado-damage repairs were discussed: the impound building work is complete except for insulation, and vendor Sure-Fire is still awaiting coils for Henry Dodge rooftop units. Director of Physical Facilities John Nehls also reported that the Land Resource and Parks project is complete.
On jail operations, committee minutes note pod cleaning is expected to finish about March 19; boilers in J-pod have been shut down to reduce electric and gas costs; the department has filled the custodian position at the jail; and staff will provide contractor escorting during an upcoming inmate phone system upgrade once pod cleaning is finished.
The minutes do not list repair cost figures, insurance claimant names, or delivery dates for rooftop coils. Committee members did not take formal votes on these updates at the March 5 meeting.
