Dodge County building committee approves carryover of 2025 funds and reviews budget status

The move followed a staff report that the county provided the committee with the 2025 budget and noted a small number of 2025 invoices remain to be paid. Facilities Director John Nehls framed the request as an administrative carryover to ensure outstanding obligations can be settled in 2026.
Randy Vande Zande made the motion to approve the requested carryover funds; Jeff Caine seconded and the motion carried. The minutes do not list a roll-call tally beyond noting the motion carried.
The committee also received an overview of pending capital and maintenance work and was told financial figures comparing remodeling versus new construction for the county master plan are still pending; staff said those numbers will return to the Building Committee when available.
The committee set its next meeting for March 5, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. and adjourned at 4:54 p.m.
