The Dodge County Land Resources and Parks Committee on April 13 voted to forward a favorable recommendation to the county board for a petition from the Town of Theresa to rezone approximately 4 acres from A‑1 Prime Agricultural to A‑2 General Agricultural.
Staff told the committee the petition follows required town procedures, is consistent with the county comprehensive plan and with chapter 91.46 of Wisconsin statutes, and that staff believes the committee can make the necessary findings under the Dodge County Land Use Code. After staff’s presentation the committee voted to recommend approval by voice vote.
The staff report identified the proposed 4‑acre lot would separate farm buildings from remaining farmland while leaving roughly 80 acres in agricultural use. The motion to report favorably was carried; staff will forward the committee’s recommendation to the county board for final action.
