The North Ridgeville City Board of Education used its Oct. 15 meeting to approve routine governance items and several formal resolutions.
The board approved the written minutes for meetings on Sept. 3, Sept. 17 and Sept. 30, 2024 after a motion by Mrs. McCarthy and a second by Mr. Griggsby. The consent agenda was approved on a roll call vote with all members voting yes.
The board also approved the finance resolution to accept the September 2024 financial reports in one reading. During building and operations, trustees moved to approve the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission’s design review comments as they relate to the district’s high school construction project; that motion passed unanimously by roll call. The human-resources slate—covering a certified staff replacement, supervisor contract, several support-staff appointments and other personnel items—was approved in one reading.
All recorded roll-call votes in the transcript excerpt show unanimous yes votes by the five board members present (Mrs. McCarthy, Mr. Griggsby, Mr. Haynes, Mrs. Saxon and Mr. Voda). The meeting adjourned after the human-resources vote.
