The Lisle CUSD 202 Board of Education approved a package of routine and substantive items at its Sept. 23 meeting, including the district’s fiscal‑year 2025 budget and a new collective‑bargaining agreement with the district’s education association.
Board President Mrs Sims opened a statutorily required public hearing on the tentative 2025 budget and administration summarized the budget process and the document’s availability for public inspection since June 24. The board noted capital outlay costs tied to planned renovations at the junior high and reviewed the structure of individual funds and estimated beginning and ending balances. No members of the public offered oral comment during the hearing.
After the hearing concluded, the board considered its consent agenda, which included minutes, payroll and vendor pay orders, personnel items (resignations, retirements, and extra‑duty employment), recognition of booster organizations, the collective bargaining agreement, the fiscal‑year 2025 budget document, and second reading of policy amendments. A motion to approve the consent agenda was moved and seconded and carried on a roll‑call vote with all board members recorded as voting in the affirmative.
The board’s action moves routine and operational items forward for the year. The administration said the budget summary and fund‑level breakdown will be filed with the county clerk within 30 days of adoption and posted on the district website. The presentation noted capital outlay as a driver of increased expenditures tied to ongoing junior‑high renovations; exact revenue and expenditure line items cited in the presentation were summarized by administration and are available in the official budget packet.
Next procedural steps noted by district staff included posting the adopted budget online and fulfilling statutory filing requirements. The board adjourned the meeting at 10:21 p.m.
