Residents press Roseland council on leaf-blower restrictions and future of old golf course

He said restrictions would not put landscapers out of business but would reduce nuisance noise for neighbors.
Another resident raised questions about Resolution 13 and the use of open-space funds for lawn maintenance in borough parks, saying the practice was unfamiliar and asking what areas are eligible. The same commenter pressed for a plan for the borough’s old golf-course property, calling it "a political football" and urging the council to develop the site for recreation before it deteriorates further.
Council members acknowledged the questions and said staff would follow up; the meeting record shows the ordinances on noise and parks were introduced for hearing and the council discussed related budget and park-renovation items later in the agenda.
