The Ames Comm School District board opened its meeting and approved the agenda by a voice vote, recorded as 6-0.
The chair read the district’s public comment rules and said no residents had signed up to speak during the public forum.
A motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Tidwell and seconded by Tipton; the board approved the consent agenda. No opposed votes were recorded.
Superintendent Graves provided staff updates, noting resignations, transfers and that yellow highlighting in the materials indicates new hires. Student representatives who could not attend submitted materials to highlight the high school cultural fair on Saturday, April 18, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the high school commons; the information was added to meeting documents and the minutes.
The board reviewed the planning calendar and set the next regular meeting for April 20 at 5:30 p.m. The regular session was recessed and the board moved into a work session; the live broadcast ended.
