Finance staff said they are moving any realized savings from placement and transportation back into the district’s general fund as appropriate and preserving as much carryover in circuit‑breaker funds as possible. Officials noted the district will continue to monitor month‑to‑month transport rates and placement status through the close of the fiscal year.
The committee’s finance liaison said the Finance Committee (FinCom) has reviewed prior updates and will continue discussions; FinCom members cautioned that the district should be judicious about spending one‑time circuit‑breaker carryover because it is not guaranteed base funding for future years.
School leaders said they will continue to present monthly budget updates as placements and transportation data evolve.
