Little Falls board certifies election, accepts donations and approves policies

The Little Falls Community Schools Board of Education certified the Nov. 5, 2024 school board election results and took multiple routine actions at its Nov. 14 meeting.
Board members approved a resolution canvassing the general election that listed vote totals for board candidates and declared Julie Mueller, Doug Dolberg and Kelsey Herzog elected to four-year terms beginning Jan. 2025. The board then authorized the chair and clerk to execute certificates of election and deliver acceptance and oath forms after the statutory contest period and required filings.
The board also approved a resolution to accept charitable gifts and sponsorships offered to the district. The item named multiple donors including Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union, Anderson Custom Printing, VFW Post No. 973, Curtis Wilson VFW Post No. 973 (listed in packet), the Lions Club and others; the donations were accepted by roll call with the board voting in the affirmative.
Members voted to nominate Doug Dolberg to serve a four-year term on the board of directors for Sourcewell subregion 3. That nomination passed with one abstention recorded by Board Member Sharon.
As part of routine business the board changed its 2025 meeting schedule (moving most monthly meetings from the third Monday to the second Monday of each month, with October remaining on the third Monday because of a holiday conflict) and approved final readings for seven district policies, including staff development, assessment of student achievement, graduation requirements, the annual audit, budget establishment/adoption and an internet/cell phone acceptable-use policy. Those policy readings were accepted by voice vote.
The meeting record shows roll-call and voice votes for the listed resolutions and motions; the clerk was directed to certify election results to county auditors and to follow the certification steps specified in the approved resolutions.
