The Grandview Heights Schools Board of Education opened its organizational meeting by electing officers and establishing its meeting schedule for the coming year.
Board members nominated and approved the slate of officers, including a president and vice president, in successive motions followed by roll-call votes. Beth (board clerk) called the roll on each motion; all five voting members responded in the affirmative.
The board adopted its regular schedule — generally the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. — and agreed to move the June meeting to Wednesday, June 25, to allow staff time to finalize fiscal-year budget numbers. Members also noted the board typically skips the July meeting.
In addition to officer elections and the calendar, the board approved its annual appointments (items C through Q) with no changes from the prior year and accepted minutes from special and regular meetings held Jan. 11. Each motion passed on unanimous roll call.
The meeting closed its organizational business and moved to committee reports and routine agenda items.
