All right. Good evening and welcome to the April 17th called board meeting, the Chair said as the meeting opened with a prayer and brief welcome.
The Dorchester 02 board approved its consent agenda and a personnel recommendation during a short called meeting on April 17. Miss Powell moved to approve the consent agenda; Mr. Lee seconded the motion, remote members Miss Annie King and Miss Kelly Bates recorded ‘yay,’ and the Chair announced the motion carried, six in favor and one absent.
The superintendent’s report included a personnel recommendation that the board reviewed in advance through BoardDocs. Mr. Doherty noted the materials had been provided ahead of time and the board proceeded in open session. Mr. Lee moved to approve the recommendation as presented in the board packet; Mr. Guthrie seconded. The Chair called for the vote; Miss King and Miss Bates voted in favor and the Chair again announced the motion carried, six in favor and one absent.
The Chair opened the public-comment periods for agenda items and for general comment and stated there were no public comments that evening. With no executive session planned, Miss Powell moved to adjourn, Mr. Guthrie seconded, and the board adjourned after a final 6-0 vote with one member absent.
The meeting lasted a short time and focused on routine governance actions: consent agenda approval, acceptance of a personnel recommendation, and adjournment. The board did not take any additional actions or set a follow-up date during the called session.
