Wildwood Crest approves interim administrator, deputy and a series of purchases and contract awards
Summary
Commissioners unanimously approved contracts appointing Francine B. Springer as interim borough administrator and Patricia A. Fetics as deputy administrator, reappointed a tourism board member, authorized vehicle and equipment purchases, and authorized bids and contract awards for sanitary sewer improvements and other capital work.
At the meeting the governing body adopted multiple resolutions by roll call, approving personnel contracts, reappointments and procurement actions.
The council approved a contract for Francine B. Springer as interim borough administrator for 2025 and a contract for Patricia A. Fetics as deputy borough administrator. The body reappointed Peter Satler to the Greater Wildwood Tourism Improvement and Development Authority with a term expiring June 30, 2029.
Council members authorized purchases under cooperative purchasing agreements, including a John Deere Gator XUV590M4 and a 52-inch Kawi 26-horsepower mower, and authorized purchase of a 2026 Ford F-250 pickup for public works. The borough also authorized the expenditure of $37,600 for a gas/diesel fueling station island under state contract and adopted an amendment to the 2025 municipal budget to account for additional grant funding from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety for the Summerrshore pedestrian awareness campaign.
The governing body approved authorizing advertisement for the sale of borough-owned real property known as 5900 New Jersey Avenue (lots 49 and 50, block 28) pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:12-13a and authorized an award of contract for various sanitary sewer improvements for fiscal year 2025.
All resolutions were adopted by unanimous roll call of the commissioners (Mr. Schiff, Mr. Franco and Mr. Cabrera).
