Wildwood Crest adopts wireless-facility insurance and traffic-signal ordinances; additional readings set for July 9
Summary
Commissioners unanimously passed Ordinance 1460 (insurance for wireless communication facilities in the public right-of-way) and Ordinance 1461 (traffic-signal regulations). Ordinances 1462 and bond ordinance 1463 were introduced and scheduled for second reading and public hearing on July 9, 2025.
At a public meeting, the Borough of Wildwood Crest moved and by roll call vote adopted Ordinance 1460, amending Chapter 85 to require insurance for wireless communication facilities in the public rights-of-way. The council then adopted Ordinance 1461, amending Article 13 of Chapter 79 to regulate traffic signals within the borough.
Both measures were opened for public hearing and received no public comment. Each ordinance passed on second and final reading by unanimous roll call votes of the commissioners (Mr. Schiff, Mr. Franco and Mr. Cabrera).
Clerk Trish read two additional ordinances into the record. Ordinance 1462, a repeal of portions of the public conduct code (Chapter 48, sections 48-12 through 48-12.4), and Ordinance 1463, a bond ordinance appropriating $775,000 for acquisition of lands at 2011 West Pittsburgh Avenue (authorizing $738,000 in bonds), were passed on first reading and scheduled for second and final hearing and public comment on July 9, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.
The borough clerk announced that adopted ordinances will be advertised according to law.
