The Zoning Board approved a waiver Nov. 18 to permit a wall sign not facing a major thoroughfare for a tenant space at 24471 10 Mile Road in the Riverwood Research Center.
Kevin Kurthers of Fast Signs requested permission to place a tenant identification sign on a façade that does not face the major thoroughfare; staff recommended favorable consideration citing the tenant entrance location and frontage geometry as practical constraints. The proposed sign area is about 34.25 square feet and the building frontage and entrance locations informed staff’s recommendation.
There was no public comment. Board members said tenant wayfinding is a reasonable consideration for approval and moved to grant the waiver with the standard condition that the appellant secure required permits and final inspections.
