Votes at a glance: Gurnee board approves consent agenda, sidewalk and roadwork contracts, IT purchases

The Gurnee Village Board on March 2 approved a consent agenda that included routine minutes, Resolution 2026-01 (authorizing motor fuel tax street maintenance), vendor contract awards and payroll and bills for the period. The consent agenda was adopted by roll call.

Key approvals recorded at the meeting:

- Landscape and irrigation maintenance: three-year contract to Landscape Concepts Management at an annual cost of $20,992.

- Granville Avenue sidewalk improvement: awarded to Akira Inc., $288,984.84 to construct a new 5-foot sidewalk and ADA ramps along the south side between Wavelin and Boulevard View.

- 2026 roadways resurfacing program: awarded to Paine & Dolan, Inc., $1,977,363.78 (approximately 3.3 miles of roads across multiple neighborhoods).

- Cisco network replacement and security purchases: Presidio Network Solutions Group LLC, $162,101 (switching, firewalls, and maintenance; funded through State contract).

All contract awards were presented by staff, discussed briefly where relevant, and approved by roll call. Implementation and project administration will be handled by the respective divisions (Engineering, Information Systems, Police/Fire as noted in staff memos).
