Commissioner Joe Kegin Jr. moved to “approve and sign Letter of Approval for Use of the Courthouse Lawn and Gazebo for National Day of Prayer, by the Enid Ministerial Alliance,” and the motion carried with Chairman Clarence Maly and Vice‑Chairman Reese Wedel joining in the aye votes. The meeting minutes record the vote as “Aye: Maly, Wedel and Kegin. Nay: None.”
The minutes state the special meeting convened at 2:00 a.m. on May 6, 2026; public notice of the meeting was posted at 1:45 p.m. on May 4, 2026 in the County Clerk’s office, the Commissioners’ office, the first‑floor bulletin board of the Garfield County Courthouse and the outside bulletin board in Enid, Oklahoma. Lorraine Legere, Garfield County Clerk and Secretary, was recorded as absent; Debbie Knouse, First Deputy, was present.
After approving the letter of permission, Vice‑Chairman Reese Wedel moved to adjourn the special meeting and schedule the next meeting for May 11, 2026; that motion also passed unanimously. The minutes end with the customary notation that the meeting was adjourned.
