Burnsville council adopts consent agenda; EDA approves annual property casualty insurance renewal

Clerk Mrs. Collins reported that no members of the public had signed up to speak during the citizens comment period. City Manager Lindberg confirmed there were no emergency additions to the final agenda from staff or council members. The council moved, seconded and approved the consent agenda by voice vote.
The council then recessed so the Economic Development Authority (EDA) could meet. EDA President Gustafson called the EDA to order and the authority approved its consent agenda — which included approval of minutes and the annual property casualty liability insurance renewal — on a motion moved by Commissioner Keely and seconded by Commissioner Kouts; the motion passed by voice vote.
The EDA reported no regular agenda items and adjourned after a motion by Commissioner Keely and second by Commissioner Soltis. The council reconvened, noted there were no further matters before it, and adjourned.
The meeting also noted that the planned retirement recognition of Assistant Fire Chief Terry Richie was postponed and will be rescheduled. The city announced upcoming meetings and sessions, including regular council meetings scheduled for April 21 and May 5 at 5:30 p.m., a work session on April 14 at 5:30 p.m., a quarterly round-table work session on April 14 at 6:00 p.m. in Dakota B, and a closed session for the city manager's performance review scheduled for April 7 at 6:00 p.m. in Dakota B.
