Red Bud council approves street closures, community-event permits for late September–October

The Red Bud City Council approved multiple event permits and temporary street-closure requests for late September and early October.
Council approved the Red Bud Fire Department's request to close Orange Street between Veteran Street and East Pine for a meat shoot on Sept. 29, and asked the police chief to conduct a site inspection. The council also approved an auction company's request to close South Oak Street for an auction at 716 Locust on Sept. 29 (approximately 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
The Red Bud Area Museum was granted permission to sell donuts at the four-way stop on Sept. 28 from 7:30–10 a.m., and the Red Bud Lions Club received approval to collect at the four-way stop on Oct. 4 (2–6 p.m.) and Oct. 5 (8 a.m.–12 p.m.). Each item was moved, seconded and approved on roll call during the cultural committee portion of the meeting.
Council did not attach additional conditions beyond the standard approval language, though the fire department requested a site inspection by the police chief prior to the event.
