Absecon mayor warns temporary-housing operators to meet livability standards or face enforcement

The Mayor cited recent postponement of a planned Martin Luther King Day community clean-up because of weather and framed the housing directive as part of protecting residents and visitors.
No ordinance or formal enforcement action was adopted at the meeting; the Mayor’s remarks were a public pronouncement of enforcement intent and the council moved into closed session later in the meeting to discuss a personnel matter.
