School board approves policies, personnel moves and authorizes up to $330,000 for fieldhouse HVAC repairs

Personnel actions approved included listed resignations and transfers (names were read into the record), acceptance of substitutes, volunteers and coaches, and principal designations for Twin Valley High School and other assignments. The board also approved contracts for speech, hearing, occupational/physical therapy and psychological services and accepted several routine vendor bids and Branch Field invoices.
Facility work was approved after trustees heard reports that the Grundy fieldhouse heat pumps had failed and the roof leaked. The board authorized soliciting quotes and proceeding with repairs up to $330,000. Board comments noted multiple heat-pump failures and ongoing roof issues; members voted in favor of pursuing repairs immediately to restore building systems.
The meeting concluded with a list of personnel recommendations around paraprofessionals, nurses, custodians and intervention specialists; the board approved the hires pending standard checks and adjourned the session.
