Council reviewed recommendations from a corridor study for Puma Road, coordinated by the Maricopa Association of Governments with the cities of Scottsdale and Carefree. Staff said consultants recommended a roundabout at Cave Creek Road and Puma Road, two lanes in each direction, a vegetated median and dedicated bike paths.
Materials and a public survey were made available via a postcard with a QR code on the information table; printed copies were also available. The council encouraged residents who use the intersection or live nearby to submit comments through July 24.
No formal council action was taken at the meeting; staff indicated public input would be forwarded to the study partners for consideration.
