Representatives of the Cinnaminson Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG) provided an organization update and requested a designated board liaison. Student‑age resident Eric Hymon offered a young‑person's perspective on the cell‑phone discussion, saying phones can be needed for medical and family communications and warning against punitive escalation that could harm students.
Separately, the policy and legislation committee reviewed a request to amend Policy 2431 to allow homeschool students to participate in district athletics. After consulting stakeholders and other districts, the committee recommended no change, citing concerns about fairness and the board's limited authority over homeschooled students.
Board members acknowledged the public comments and said the administration would follow up on questions about SmartPass implementation, access to tutor resources and the vendor contract language; details on IDEA line‑item breakdowns were called out as a matter for the finance office. No new policy changes were adopted at the meeting.
