Staff reported that the state has approved the district's cost-reimbursable food service contract, allowing the board to proceed with year one of a renewal term. The packet included a contract acknowledgement and documentation required for state review.
Mrs. Glenn explained that the contract arrangement is cost reimbursable and that the proposed renewal includes a 3% rate-factor increase and an advance of $58,562. Trustees asked whether the district had been reimbursed for free lunches; staff explained that students qualifying for free/reduced meals are reported to the federal program and the state makes up the difference for students who do not qualify, with payments coming through state aid reports monthly.
The board moved and seconded approval and, by roll call vote, approved the one-year renewal with Aramark.
Staff recommended the renewal be filed with the state and that administration proceed under the cost-reimbursable terms for FY25'26.
