District presents first annual report in years; printed version omitted Sunnyside Foundation but online version corrected

The Sunnyside Unified School District presented its newly produced annual report during the board meeting, describing its design choices, distribution strategy and purpose ahead of the recent bond election.
Communications director Miss Felix said the report was intended to be accessible and visually engaging: an eight-and-a-half by eight-and-a-half inch matte mailer sent to about 5,500 high-propensity voting households and distributed digitally to all families and staff. The report included original photos of students and highlights aligned to the district's five-year strategic plan.
Felix acknowledged a printing oversight that left the Sunnyside Foundation out of the hard-copy report. "This was a editing oversight on our part," she said, and the district updated the digital version on the website to add the acknowledgment. Board members thanked the communications team and publicly apologized to the Sunnyside Foundation for the omission.
The district said it plans to produce the annual report more regularly and will refine the content and distribution next year.
